If you love local foods, then Yishun is the place for you. The Chong Pang Market and Food Center serves the best of local foods. Its most popular item is Nasi Lemak – a coconut rice dish authentic to Malay that comes with a side of fried chicken wings and a sauce made of anchovies, spices and chillies.

Another good local delicacy you can find in the Chong Pang Market is Chuan Kee braised duck. This dish comprises of a plate of rice flavored with many aromatic herbs and a side dish made of tofu, peanuts and eggs. You can also get a drink made of soybean milk to give you a refreshing feel, with such local delicacies, your food palates are sure to jump in joy at Yishun.
